      – A speaker from the Canadian Coast Guard will talk about her experiences and what it takes to motivate a crew on extended deployments.

      – A guest speaker from the Canadian Coast Guard will talk about Electronic Navigation.

Tours & Events

Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) Vessel

Amherstburg
Depending upon operational circumstances, the goal of CCG is to have an icebreaker or other fleet asset docked a short walk from the hotel on the Detroit River so that tours can be made available to conference registrants. Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

Thursday Oct. 19 Amherstburg Tour @ $50


Join us for a tour of Amherstburg, one of the loveliest and most historically significant towns in Ontario. We will leave at 1100 and travel to Amherstburg. The town is known for its roles in the War of 1812 and the Underground Railroad. From historic Fort Malden and King’s Navy Yard Park along the Detroit River, in view of Lake Erie, Amherstburg is a wonderful blend of historic architecture and pubs, coffee shops, restaurants and unique shops. You will have time for shopping and lunch before returning to Windsor at 1700.

At Caesar’s, from 1900-2100, enjoy a wine and cheese pairing with local Master Taster, Tracie Gonneau, who will help us showcase Ontario wines.

Saturday Oct. 22 Windsor Yacht Club and J.P. Wiser’s Distillery Tour @ $40


At 1315, your ride will leave Caesars Windsor and drop you off at the Windsor Yacht Club, the location where the first CPS-ECP course was instructed. You’ll learn about the history of the club and experience its lovely setting and views while you enjoy a libation. Your Wiser’s Tour will provide you with an historic walk-through of Hiram Walker & Sons with several tastings of their famous golden liquids before returning at 1730.

Please wear closed toed shoes.

CONFERENCE CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation on or before September 3, 2023 are accepted with no penalty. Starting September 4, 2023 all cancellations are subject to a $35 administration fee per person. After September 25, 2023 cancellations will be partly refunded only if another conference participant registers to take your place.
